We are a specialty pharmaceutical and medical device distributor serving the needs of Canada’s Dental Professional community in Canada. We are located in Mississauga near the intersection of Derry Rd and Mississauga Rd between the 401 and 403.

We are hiring for a Digital Transformation Lead to join our team. You will be responsible for creation, coordination and delivery of digital campaigns and graphic design marketing initiatives and event management. You will execute social media plans and contribute to the design of innovative digital marketing solutions within a team environment.

Position Overview:

As Digital Transformation Lead (DTL), responsibilities will include defining and delivering branding and marketing strategy to shape the overall digital and web experience. The DTL will help the company drive growth by converting traditional business platforms to digital and oversee operations in the rapidly changing digital sectors like mobile applications, social media and related applications, as well as web-based information management and marketing. The Digital Transformation Lead will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for our executive team members to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies.

As the role is transformational, the DTL will be responsible for the adoption of digital technologies across the entire business and is also responsible for the digital consumer experience across our operations. 

The DTL will direct the development and revisions to policies and procedures for the general operation of the digital strategy and related activities.

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

  • Work with the Executive Management team to define the corporate e-commerce strategy.
  • Maintain the balance between business and technology.
  • Design and implementation of company’s end-to-end strategy and digital road-map.
  • Change future division strategies in-season where needed and provide appropriate and timely direction to the cross functional team in order to react quickly to customer and business trends.
  • Analyze and assesses the effectiveness of all existing operations and current needs based on new technology and market competition.
  • Work with the Clinical Science and Marketing Department to improve, develop and advocate new promotional opportunities for our products and services.
  • Develop business plans including SEO/SEM/CRM and annual budget for e-commerce functions.
  • Supervise and/or conduct development efforts including content design and update for digital communication.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities and liabilities to the e-commerce team to provide a positive impact on sales, margin and turns.
  • Act as a liaison between departments and outside vendors for development and maintenance of the web sites.
  • Oversee the day-to-day e-commerce operations, maintenance, and performance measurement of the company website.
  • Develop and gain approval for department seasonal strategies and prioritize tasks to support division strategies and meet financial targets.
  • Connecting digital investments to enterprise KPIs in order to achieve positive digital transformation.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Business or Marketing or Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS or related field.
  • Understand laws and regulations for the medical device and pharmaceutical industry an asset
  • 5+ years of progressive, authentic leadership experience in roles in integrated marketing with a focus in eCommerce and technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with digital technologies (cloud applications, mobile, social media)
  • Experience in project planning and implementation of large-scale transformation initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing websites, mobile, SEO/SEM, and CRM strategies.
  • Proven ability to partner cross functionally, with an understanding of customer experience, data, growth marketing, and product
  • Programming or API development experience
  • Experience in small and large-scale projects in eCommerce, digital media, and digital advertising
  • Strong conceptual and strategic thinker – able to communicate effectively and influence others
  • You are proactive and entrepreneurial, behaving with integrity and transparency
  • Demonstrated experience in leading creative projects from idea to delivery and launch
  • Clear, concise, and transparent communication style
  • Ability to create a clear strategy for design-centered processes and proven methodologies for identifying and solving problems in the creative workflow
  • Dedicated with strong attention to detail and a passion for storytelling
