About the Position

As a leader in the warehouse, the Supervisor is expected to provide direction of the warehouse

process, procedures and work instructions for employees. The Supervisor is to ensure the

product picking is efficient and is maintained at the highest level without jeopardizing safety,

quality or cost. Train/coach employees and ensure adherence to job instructions, quality

requirements, safety compliance and company procedures.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • This is a safety sensitive position
  • Work with Drivers to ensure proper loading, unloading and securement procedures are followed
  • Work with Drivers to ensure logs are completed correctly according to regulations
  • Complete house keeping check list each and ensure yard and warehouse is kept clean at all time
  • Work with Dispatch to effectively schedule deliveries and trucks using the fleet management software
  • Monitor and manage other equipment for maintenance and repairs such as Moffet’s and Forklifts
  • Provide back up to dispatch as required
  • Provide back up to management team as required
  • Manage inventory and advise purchasing when any particular item is low
  • Verify all income and outgoing product is received in good condition and ensure paperwork is completed in full with signatures and quantities; damages or shortages must be reported immediately to the transfer Branch or vendor with a follow up credit note
  • Ensure all paperwork is turned into the office on an hourly basis with no paperwork left outstanding at the end of the day
  • Receive all transfers and PO’s coming and going into the system (subject to branch size & setup)
  • Customer pick up; acknowledge the customer is in the parking lot and coordinate to service the customer quickly
  • Monitor the delivery schedule make changes and update the schedule as orders are completed
  • All damaged products should be followed up with proper paperwork, submitted to Manager for sign off and disposed of when approved for write off
  • Supervise, evaluate, and train employees assigned to the warehouse on proper procedures and enforcing company policies when needed
  • Conduct Health and Safety meeting once a month
