Production Technician

Etobicoke, ON

Mitrex, an Integrated solar and construction solution provider, is looking for a  experienced Production Technician/Stringer to operate highly automated machines in a manufacturing setting to reach the production goal.

  • Minimum 2 years Technical College Diploma or equivalent training and experience,
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar production role within an automated high-volume manufacturing environment,
  • Able to read and understand production assembly drawings,
  • Must have a good mechanical aptitude and be detail-oriented,
  • Must have experience developing best quality practices, analyzing quality testing/inspection data, and developing test procedures,
  • Proven proficiency with computers and statistical software packages,
  • Able to work efficiently both independently and as a team.



  • Read, interpret, and execute production schedules and assembly drawings,
  • Perform work and quality practices as per Standardized Work Instructions,
  • Monitor the creation of scrap/non-conforming material – Trouble-shoot scrap generating issues, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions,
  • Support training of new staff, audit existing work instructions, and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives/projects,
  • Facilitate material movement within the plant and adhere to inventory control practices,
  • Perform shipping/receiving functions as directed,
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management
