CNC Machinist - Waterjet Operator

Job Details

As a CNC Machinist, you will contribute to the success of the Company by assisting with general machining duties, using the Waterjet, CNC and/or manual milling machines.

Shift: Monday - Thursday (4PM -2 AM)

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Program and set-up CNC machine for Primary parts production.
  • Utilize JetCam software from provided nests and ensure proper usage and execution of the Waterjet.
  • Part finishing through manual grinding, and burnishing equipment.
  • Review parts for quality control inspection.
  • Follow the primary manufacturing process for part routing and location.
  • Ensure maximum run-time for both CNC and Waterjet through task preparation and planning.
  • Effectively log job hours in ERP system.
  • Abide by all safety rules and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Participate in both internal and external training on the safe operation and programming of a CNC and waterjet machine. All training will be paid for by the Company.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or completed machinist training or apprenticeship program related to the position
  • 1+ years in a manufacturing setting including programming machining software and quality control
  • CNC operation proficiency
  • Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading
  • Understanding of machining practices, using various equipment and on various materials
  • Jetcam software knowledge for waterjet system an asset
  • Experience with ERP system (Syteline a plus) considered an asset
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to work in variations of temperatures and stand for prolonged periods
