Position Title: Direct Support Professional

Location: Beamsville

Position: Part-Time, Permanent 16-32 hours Bi-Weekly

Wage: $23.08-$25.47 Hourly

Nature of the Position:

The successful candidate will provide a variety of personalized supports for individuals who currently attend our Children’s Weekend Respite Program.

  • The candidate(s) must have education or experience focused in child development or early childhood education
  • Current Standard First Aid & Level C CPR
  • NVCI-Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (CPI)
  • Police clearance with vulnerable sector screening.
  • A valid G driver's license and insurable by the agencies insurance company.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to respond to individual needs and crisis situations in a calm, productive manner.
  • Well-developed organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • Must be available to work, days, evenings, sleep shifts, weekends, and must be committed to be available for call in shifts.

Other Requirements:

Must have a strong ability to deal with conflict resolution and diffusing potentially harmful or difficult situations independently.  Strong Computer skills in MS Office, e-mails, data base software (Share Vision), I Pads etc.
